Your projects, photos, and site locations stay on your devices.

Local processing, no collection

Rebar works offline and processes photo-point monitoring data on your device. The app does not collect or transmit personal data, projects, photos, or site locations to Kumiko Solutions LLC.

The app requires no accounts and has no servers, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Its only network use is app store purchases, handled by Apple and Google.

Access you authorize

  • Camera: Used to capture monitoring photos and show the original photo as an overlay on the live camera view.
  • Location while the app is in use: Used to guide you to photo points and record location at capture. Rebar does not use background location.
  • Motion and compass: Used only to measure the phone’s direction and tilt at capture. On iOS, Rebar asks for motion permission.
  • Photo library: Optional access to save photos to your photo library when you choose.

Information stored on your device

Projects, station information, photos, site locations, and capture records are stored on your device. Nothing is uploaded by Rebar. Files leave the device only when you choose to share them, including station packs, returned photos, reports, and backups. The service you choose for sharing handles those files under its own policies.

A station pack or backup contains photos, station positions, notes, and a random ID created when Rebar is installed. That ID isn’t tied to you or to your phone’s hardware.

When you tap Open in map app, Rebar passes that station’s position to the map app you choose (for example Apple Maps or Google Maps). That app’s own privacy policy applies.

Notifications

Season reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your phone. Rebar uses no push service or server to send them.

Reporting an issue

Report an issue opens an email in your own mail app, pre-filled with the app version, OS version, and phone model. Nothing is sent unless you press send.

Purchases

The one-time Coordinator unlock is processed by Apple or Google under their respective policies. Rebar only learns whether the unlock was bought. There is no receipt server. App store purchase processing is the app’s only network use.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything Rebar stored on your device. Backups you made are yours to keep or delete.

No sale or advertising sharing

Rebar does not sell personal data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. The app doesn’t collect that data in the first place.
